Restoring History: Book Care Workshops

Welcome to Our site. We offer specialized, weekend-long workshops dedicated to the craft of restoring and maintaining antique books. These sessions are tailored for amateur librarians, collection managers, and bibliophiles who need practical guidance in document stabilization.

Our curriculum covers the essential stages of assessment and repair, including surface cleaning, spine stabilization, and the use of reversible materials for structural support. By working with historical artifacts, you will gain hands-on experience in identifying common threats to paper longevity, such as fungal growth and acidic migration.

Our workshops maintain a small student-to-teacher ratio to ensure that everyone receives individual attention. We prioritize a methodical, patient approach to craftsmanship that yields long-lasting results for your library collection.
